On 24th September 1881 Andrew married his second wife, Ellen Guest, at St Vincent's Catholic church in Altrincham. Ellen came from the town of Dudley in Worcestershire and was ten years younger than Andrew having been born on 14th October 1851. She bore him six children.

Of the four children of the first marriage, it is known that Agnes, the eldest, died on 1st July 1881,  just three days before her 20th birthday and she is buried at St Mary's church, Bowdon. Martha married John Speakman on 9th June 1888. The youngest sister, Mary, married Harry Martin on 24th October 1896 and in the same year the only son, named Andrew after his father, married Gertrude Percival on 9th November. All the marriages took place at St. Vincent's church, Altrincham. Andrew and Gertrude were my paternal grandparents.
